The majority of local residents say they are happy with the area as a place to live.
The cost of living in Kettering is lower than the national average. Property is relatively cheap yet standards of education, health care and public services in general compare favourably and are improving.
The average Council Tax levels are below the national average and significant investment is planned for the area, including £40 million pounds earmarked for investment in the town centre and related transport improvements alone.
New developments such as the 5,500 homes planned for the east of Kettering will be
built to high standards with plenty of provision for parks, leisure facilities, education and health care.
The new village of Mawsley developed over recent years serves as an example as to
what can be achieved, providing good quality, attractive housing at an affordable price.
