Following on from the recent success of the Acoustic Showcase at Kettering Market Place, Kettering Borough Council and Intertainment Agency have teamed up yet again to bring Kettering’s Up & Coming Acts to the Market Place and are looking for all kinds of acts to join the line-up on Saturday 20th August.
The event will bring three hours of live entertainment as part of the Summer Celebrations with a variety of acts taking to the stage from 5pm – 8pm. Confirmed acts include Blacklight Pioneer, Charlotte Carpenter and Whitness.
Valerie Hitchman, Head of Community Services at Kettering Borough Council said:
“We are building the reputation of the Market Place as an all round entertainment venue with the Summer Celebrations showcasing what can be achieved. We are encouraging people to pop down and see what is going on this summer at the Market Place and check out some live local entertainment. Best of all, it’s free of charge!”
Matt Brown, Intertainment Agency said:
“We’d like to ensure that as much local talent as possible is represented – we are looking for signed or unsigned bands and groups or acts. All types of performances including music, comedy, drama and urban acts will be considered with performances limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.”
He added:
“This is a great opportunity for local artist to perform in front of a local audience of friends, family and other artists. If you get the chance please join us on the 20th August for some quality entertainment provided by local artists.”

Artists invited to perform will be selected by a panel of representatives from Kettering Borough Council, the William Knibb Centre, Intertainment Agency and Stevie Jones from Wildfire Sessions.
