Rockingham Road Pleasure Park in Kettering is one of the best in the country – and that’s official!
The park has officially received the Green Flag Award for the second year running. A sign to visitors that the park is well-maintained and well-managed, with excellent facilities. A high-quality green space in the town.
The Pleasure Park is one of a record number of parks and green spaces receiving the Green Flag Award this year, ensuring that even more of us now have access to well-managed, high-quality green spaces.
Valerie Hitchman, the Head of Community Services stated that ‘I am really pleased that the park had received the award for another year.’
Councillor Steve Bellamy stated ’ This is a great success for all of the team that look after the park, this includes council staff, the friends of park group, local sports clubs, schools and church as well and the general public. The Friends Group have launched an excellent website for the park, this may be found at www.forrpp.org.uk.’
