Waitrose Chooses Boots in Kettering

 

 

 

Boots store in Kettering has been chosen as one of eight key stores nationally to host Waitrose’s food range in store. The larger convenient food range, available in eight key Boots stores over the next few months, is the latest development in the partnership between Boots UK and Waitrose, which saw the Waitrose lunchtime range being trialled in selected Boots stores from April 2010.

Refurbishment works were completed at the beginning of the month and the new version store was open for business from last Thursday. Boots in Kettering will now offer over 1,500 food and drink lines, ideal for evening meal or topping up cooking essentials. Lunch is now worth taking time out for too, as the best of Boots and Waitrose is combined to bring you Waitrose lunchtime favourites such as sandwiches, wraps and desserts.

This investment in the Kettering store has created 6 new local jobs which is great news for the local economy.

Valerie Hitchman , Head of Community Services, Kettering Borough Council said ” I am really pleased that Waitrose has chosen the Boots store in Kettering as one of its key sites to invest in and with 6 new jobs being created – it’s a tremendous boost for Kettering”

Councillor Mark Dearing, Kettering Borough Council said” Things are looking really positive for Kettering, Waitrose have demonstrated their confidence and commitment to the area with this major investment. With the next stage of the public realm works starting in Market Street and Sheep Street this month and the steelwork being erected on the Market Place Buildings at present – its great to see all this new activity and investment in Kettering Town Centre”.
